Pearl. Yellow and Green eye in Araucanas

Often one goes to Asiatic birds to get rid of "pearl" eye or the false brown in the Araucana because they have the most melanistic eye of all i.e. melanistic being black. The most popular of the Asiatics is the fluffy Cochin and the Silkie; alas both are tailed but as Rumplessness is dominant (gene Rp) it should work out after a few years. Of course that becomes a problem in itself but as I've written nothing in the fancy breeds, as they were historically called, comes easy.

One interesting thing is that Orpington's, bred with Langshan's originally for their fluffy feathers, does not have the pearl eye problem and neither from what I can see neither does the Black  Ameraucana.  The latter I don't understand so I will have to check why.
